Your quote: what you would receive
Guide version 1
What it is for
Shows the quote your estate sale operator issued for your household: the estimated proceeds in a cautious, expected and optimistic case, the company fee, any charges you authorized, what you would receive, and the costs you may pay separately. It is an estimate, not a promise of proceeds and not yet a signed agreement.
What you enter
Nothing to enter. Your operator issues revisions; the newest one is marked current and earlier ones stay visible as history.
What you get
Per case: estimated sale proceeds, the company fee and how it is set (a percentage, a percentage with a minimum, or a flat fee), authorized charges, what you would receive, and your total transition cost including costs paid outside the sale. A negative 'what you would receive' means the minimum fee and charges would exceed the proceeds in that case; talk to your operator before agreeing.
Example
In the expected case the Ellis household would receive $6,422 after a $3,808 fee and a $650 removal charge they authorized.
Common problems and how to recover
- You cannot see any figures.
- Your operator has not granted you financial visibility, or no revision has been issued yet. Ask the operator; nothing is unlocked by refreshing.
- The numbers changed since you last looked.
- A new revision was issued; the earlier one is listed as superseded and is never edited. Compare them on this page.
Who can use it
Homeowners and representatives of this estate whose participation allows financial visibility. Operator wages, costs and margin are never shown here.
