Organizations, members and invitations
Guide version 1
What it is for
An organization is your estate sale company. Members have one role each: owner, manager, estimator, crew lead or cashier. Household representatives are not members; they are invited to one estate.
What you enter
Create an organization with its name. Invite people by email and role; the system gives you a single-use link that expires in 7 days. Owners change roles and revoke members.
What you get
A members list with roles and status; a list of invitations with pending, accepted, expired or revoked status. Revoking a member also ends their estate assignments and delegated permissions.
Example
The owner invites jordan@example.com as manager, shares the link, Jordan signs in and accepts, and appears in Members as manager.
Common problems and how to recover
- "This invitation is not valid."
- The link was already used, revoked, expired, or mistyped. Ask the inviter to create a new one. Links cannot be reused by a second person.
- "The organization must keep at least one owner."
- Promote another member to owner first, then change or revoke the original owner.
- No email arrived.
- Email delivery is not enabled in this environment; the inviter shares the link directly.
Who can use it
Owners manage members and roles. Owners and managers create invitations; only owners can invite another owner. Estimators, crew and cashiers cannot invite.
